Before we left Louisiana, we got to go to my niece's birthday party. They had an inflatable water slide and Kaelyn loved it! Morgan just wanted to go up it then climb back down. The only time she went down the slide was the first time she was up there she was standing at the top of the slide and a kid ran right past her and knocked her down and slid down. Thank goodness her head didn't go under the water. She would have really freaked out.
Cameron's party was an Imagination Mover's theme. And guess who showed up. Nina from the show! For those of you who don't know, the Imagination Movers are from New Orleans. They used to perform at kids' parties and did local appearances. Our library back home had an autographed picture from them. I guess before they were big they had performed there. They were discovered at Jazz Fest, Katrina delayed negotiations, but now they have their own show on Playhouse Disney and film in New Orleans. Ryan's brother and his wife (Tom and Kristy) took Cameron to see the Imagination Movers perform at Jazz Fest. Cameron somehow ended up at the front and either members of the band or people with the band were taking pictures of the kids. The week of Cameron's party they were eating at a restaurant and this man came up to Cameron and said, "Hey, I know you! You're Cameron!" They were a little freaked out and were wondering how this grown man knew their four year old daughter. He ended up being "Nina's" husband and he said that on her dressing room door there is a blown up picture of Cameron from Jazz Fest. So Kristy casually mentioned that they were having an Imagination Movers birthday party that weekend and asked if "Nina" would like to come. He said she would love to. So Nina showed up at the party! She danced with the kids to Nina's Song and Jump Around (not sure if that's the title, but the song they sing at the end). And she signed pictures for the kids. The first thing Kaelyn tells her is, "My cat died." "Nina" was a little confused. I explained it, and she like, oookaay? That's usually the first thing she tells new people. Our cat died in February! Later I was teasing Kaelyn and said that now she's met Mickey Mouse and Nina that she doesn't need to go to Disney World anymore. Kaelyn looks at me all worried, "But I still want to go." For anyone who doesn't know, Kaelyn has been saving her money for a year and a half now to go to Disney World. It was a way to show her that it took more than a dime to go and told her that when her money reached to the top of the bank then we could go. So when she would ask me if we could go to Disney World, all I would have to do is ask her if her money was to the top. Then she would say no and stop begging me to go.

Wow! That is such luck! I miss those Louisiana parties so much. The ones in Utah are so plain in comparison.
